Sue Atkinson

Sue is the Headteacher at John Taylor Free School. She has worked in education for the last 30 years with experience of a wide range of schools and different settings.

Her extensive leadership experience spans 3 highly successful Multi-Academy Trusts based in the East/West Midlands. She has established a Teaching School Alliance and School Centre for Initial Teacher Training and understands the importance of professional learning for teachers and leaders. 

Her leadership specialisms include the use of coaching cultures to support both wellbeing and enhanced performance as a teacher and leader.  Sue has worked extensively on the National Professional Qualifications, facilitating and coaching at all levels, including the NPQEL.  She is a genuine advocate for developing people as the key driver for school improvement.

Jennifer Surujpaul

Jennifer Surujpaul is the founder of IT Solutionist, a consultancy specialising in digital strategy and IT transformation in Trusts and Schools. With over 25 years of experience supporting staff locally and internationally across primary, secondary, and SEND settings, she helps organisations embed impactful technologies, streamline operations, and build confident digital cultures. Jennifer is passionate about making tools like AI accessible and meaningful for all educators.

An innovative IT Solutionist and entrepreneur, Jennifer is dedicated to helping schools and Trusts maximise the value of their IT investments. Her work spans digital audits, subscription reviews, cyber and information security planning, and targeted training that empowers staff at every level. She works closely with leadership teams to align digital initiatives with broader organisational goals—ensuring that transformation is not only strategic, but sustainable.

As the founder of her own business, Jennifer has supported digital change across a wide range of educational settings, combining her technical expertise with a deep understanding of the school environment. She designs and delivers bespoke training programmes that strengthen stakeholder engagement and support meaningful cultural change. Her approach integrates policy development, data analysis, and change management to create systems that are agile, efficient, and fit for the future.

Claudia Boerescu

Claudia Boerescu is the Director of Teaching and Learning at Newham College, where she leads institution-wide strategies to improve teaching quality, foster innovation, and promote evidence-informed practice. With extensive experience across both further and higher education, Claudia has worked as a senior lecturer, academic liaison, programme lead, and educational leader—playing a key role in curriculum development, teacher education, and whole-organisation improvement.

A passionate educator and mentor, Claudia has designed and delivered high-impact teacher education programmes that have supported trainees and staff to achieve outstanding outcomes. She is deeply committed to creating learning environments where experimentation is encouraged, reflective practice is embedded, and professional growth is continuous.

Claudia's work is rooted in the belief that effective teaching and learning relies on a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and purposeful development. Through her leadership at Newham College, she champions high standards while ensuring space for creativity, innovation, and responsive change across the curriculum.

Nicola Holland

Nicola is an experienced education leader with a deep-rooted passion for teaching, learning, and professional development. Since joining Billing Brook, a SEND school in Northamptonshire for pupils aged 4-18, in September 2009 as a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT), they have held a variety of impactful roles including Literacy Coordinator for over a decade, Assistant Head, and Lead across primary, secondary, and sixth form phases.

Currently serving as the Quality of Education Lead, they are responsible for driving whole-school improvement in teaching and learning. For the past 4–5 years, they have also led Continuing Professional Development (CPD), championing high-quality training and mentoring for staff at all levels. A trained OLEVI Power of Coaching facilitator and dedicated mentor, they are committed to fostering a culture of growth and reflection.

Their core belief is simple yet powerful: every day is a chance to learn - for both pupils and staff alike.
