The chief executive of a Derby education technology company used by schools around the world has been appointed as a regional ambassador for a major national EdTech initiative.
Stuart Reece, CEO of Derby-based Derventio Education, has joined the relaunched EdTech Exchange as regional ambassador for East England.
Derventio Education is the company behind SchooliP and CollegeiP - platforms designed to help schools and colleges improve teaching quality, simplify processes and centralise performance management and improvement planning.
The software is used by hundreds of education providers across the UK and internationally.
The company has built a strong reputation within the education sector, with Derby’s Bemrose School recently describing its long-running partnership with Derventio Education as “invaluable” in helping to drive school improvement and secure the best outcomes for pupils.
The relaunched EdTech Exchange has been created to bring together founders and senior leaders from across the education technology sector, providing practical support, networking opportunities and peer-to-peer learning for businesses looking to grow and scale.
The initiative focuses on helping leaders navigate challenges including procurement, product adoption, market conditions and the growing role of artificial intelligence in education.
Speaking about his new ambassador role, Stuart said: “I’m delighted to be supporting the relaunch of EdTech Exchange as the regional ambassador for East England.
“It’s a really great programme for founders and leaders in the sector looking for support building and scaling their businesses.
“With advice on navigating challenges around things like procurement, adoption and market conditions, alongside networking opportunities, this is a really practical learning opportunity.”
Unlike traditional networking events, the EdTech Exchange aims to focus on honest peer discussion and practical learning rather than sales-led presentations.
The initiative is backed by BESA, the British Educational Suppliers Association, and aims to strengthen collaboration and innovation across the UK education technology sector.
