Welcome to the final newsletter for 2025. As we near the end of the year, it’s a perfect moment to reflect on the progress and achievements we’ve made together. Throughout 2025, we’ve continued to support schools and educators in driving improvement and fostering innovation across the iP Suite.
Thank you for being part of the iP community. We hope you have a restful holiday and enjoy the festive season with family, friends, and colleagues. We look forward to supporting you in 2026 and beyond.
Use this time to consider:
What have we achieved this term?
Review your monitoring records, staff feedback, and CPD engagement data to understand what has had the most impact.
Where are strengths emerging?
Identify patterns in teaching practice, team collaboration, and leadership actions that are contributing to positive outcomes.
What might we adapt as we move into the spring term?
Spot any gaps, challenges, or evolving needs, and begin shaping your next steps—whether refining focus for learning walks, updating SDP actions, or redirecting support where needed.
The iP Suite brings all your evidence into one place, helping you approach your end-of-term review with clarity and confidence. If you’d like support with analysing your term’s data or planning ahead, our team is always here to help.
A strong CPD strategy doesn’t begin in January - it begins now.
Use the end-of-term phase to reflect on what has had an impact this year:
Which CPD activities led to tangible improvements in teaching and outcomes?
Where is staff engagement strongest, and where could support be strengthened?
How can you align next year’s CPD offer with your priority areas for improvement?
The iP Suite makes this reflection easier by giving you a clear, evidence-rich view of participation, impact, and individual progress across your staff team. If you’re planning updates to your CPD programme, our team is always happy to support you.
January is a time when we set new resolutions, reflect on what has worked well, and refresh our focus for the year ahead. It’s a moment to take stock, celebrate successes and strategically plan for the future.
Refreshing focus areas for learning walks and lesson visits:
Many schools shift their emphasis based on autumn term insights - for example, spotlighting adaptive teaching, behaviour routines or curriculum sequencing. Clarifying these focus areas that learning walks feel purposeful, consistent and supportive for staff while generating meaningful evidence for leadership.
Updating School Development Plan actions based on autumn term findings:
After a term's worth of observations, monitoring records, and performance data gathered within iP, December and January become a time to reflect. This may mean reflecting on your SDP objectives and activities. Identifying all the objectives and related activities that have been met and planning ahead for the forthcoming term. This might involve strengthening existing objectives or adding new objectives where new areas for improvement have been identified. By doing this, it ensures that your SDP reflect the continuously changing dynamic of the school and continues to drive improvement effectively.
Setting new professional goals with staff during early-spring review meetings:
Early spring check-ins provide a structured moment for staff to look back on their progress, discuss any challenges, and set fresh professional targets. This could mean pivoting goals based on mid-year performance, identifying new coaching opportunities, or aligning objectives more closely with whole-school priorities. Clear, achievable goals help staff to stay motivated and supported as the year progresses.
Organising CPD pathways tailored to career stage or appraisal objectives:
A well-planned CPD makes all the difference in staff development. January is when many schools begin to map out training pathways that respond to individual needs. iP helps ensure every member of staff has a structured, purposeful programme of professional growth.
If you’d like guidance on setting up your spring-term workflows, just get in touch; we’re happy to help you turn these priorities into practical steps.
As we wrap up 2025, we hope you have a restful holiday and enjoy the festive season with family, friends, and colleagues. Thank you for being part of the iP community - we’re proud to support you in driving school improvement and professional growth every step of the way.
Here’s to a successful, inspiring, and productive 2026! We look forward to sharing more updates, insights, and support with you in the new year
