UHR (Universities Human Resources) is the professional organisation for Human Resources practitioners in the United Kingdom and Eire. Their structure and governance means that the association is divided into different geographical areas. Members meet several times a year on a regional and national level to engage in person. Our content management system Celsus allows UHR members to stay up-to-date with news, forthcoming events and to disseminate best practice.
Derventio built a bespoke event management system, to replace our previous legacy, external system. The system has the following functionality:
- Event Listing: Displays a comprehensive list of upcoming events on the website, including details such as event name, date, time, location, and description.
- Event Registration: Allows members to register for events directly through the website, using existing account credentials.
- Member Integration: Integrated with our member database to streamline registration for existing members and capture new member registrations.
- Secure Payment Processing: Enable secure online payment processing for event registration fees, supporting various payment methods like credit/debit cards, PayPal, or other payment gateways.
- Customizable Booking Forms: We can create customisable booking forms to gather specific information from attendees during registration, such as dietary requirements or special accommodations.
- Automated Confirmations: Automatically sends confirmation emails to registered attendees upon successful registration, containing event details and payment information.
These functions collectively create a comprehensive event management and booking system that enhances user experience, increases efficiency, and maximizes event attendance.
The responsive design of the site means that members are able to interact freely and frequently. Documents and other pertinent information can be quickly shared with relevant member groups. Residential conferences and development days are managed via Celsus. This allows events to be publicised well in advance and registration is carried out online. Payments can made online via a secure payment gateway.

UHR is a member of the Professional Higher Education Services Group (PHES). This is an umbrella company that incorporates AUDE (The Association of University Directors of Estates), BUFDG (British Universities Finance Directors Group) and HESPA (Higher Education Strategic Planners Association). We have also developed bespoke content management systems for these organisations to share information and best practice.
