Having already had experience in the educational software market, Derventio Solutions was approached by Sir Mark Grundy (Knight Bachelor) who was looking to develop a software system to help manage the performance of schools. Sir Mark was knighted by the queen in 2006 for "his work at George Salter High School in West Bromwich, as well as his work in ICT."

Whilst there were systems on the market, he felt that none of them integrated the strategic aspects of managing a school with the performance of teachers in an intuitive or comprehensive manner. The aim was to develop a software solution that integrated three key modules including:

  • Performance Management
  • Improvement Planning
  • Self-evaluation

Shireland Collegiate Academy, Sandwell opened as an Academy in 2007, and they are extremely proud of the progress everyone has made since then. Sir Mark Grundy discusses the development of SchooliP and its impact for the Shireland Academy.

“We wanted a partner to work with who cared about schools and shared our passion for making technology work for us. Together we have provided the perfect fusion of technology and school improvement methodology”

SchooliP saves valuable teacher time by integrating the improvement planning, CPD and self evaluation process.

Sir Mark Grundy, Executive Principal

“SchooliP saves valuable teacher time by integrating the improvement planning, CPD and self evaluation process. Recycling of this time is then used to raise standards within the school. The seamless integration and sharing of evidence across the improvement planning, CPD and self evaluation process makes the SchooliP product unique”

“SchooliP has helped us to collaborate and have a shared vision for school improvement across the whole school. We would definitely recommend SchooliP to other schools”
