Our Business Development Managers are the driving force behind generating new sales leads and contacts. A successful business development manager is a highly-prized asset to any company and bonus-related pay means the financial rewards of this career can be great.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, the successful candidate will be focused on generating new business opportunities and meetings for our range of software solutions and services, including our successful educational software product, SchooliP. This role will suit an enthusiastic and motivated sales person, driven to successfully meet and exceed targets.

Job Role:

  • Responsible for following up new business opportunities and setting up meetings
  • Planning and preparing presentations for new business meetings including demonstrating our software, and or discussing bespoke software requirements
  • Achieving monthly sales targets as agreed
  • Identifying and pursuing cross-sell opportunities for our business and our partners
  • Providing reports and feedback for the management team including regular opportunity pipeline and forecasting updates, suggestions for product improvements, and more
  • Ensuring brand presence and potential lead generation are maximised at events and conferences
  • Account management across our current customer base
  • Working closely with the Business Development Executives and the Marketing Team

Skills & Attributes Required:

  • Proven track record working towards and exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of the education sector and, or the software industry would be an advantage but is not essential
  • The role will involve travelling to prospective customer sites
